Jennifer Graver

Sometimes life feels overwhelming, exhausting and isolating. It’s easy to neglect taking care of yourself and oftentimes stress can manifest in your partnership and other relationships too. I have experienced my own motherhood challenges and know that maternal wellness is a necessary priority. I relate to my clients authentically and aim to create positive growth and change together.

My name is Jennifer Graver and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern at Mathews Counseling. I am passionate about helping clients find a way to thrive and offer support throughout the parenting journey. I provide a calm, safe space with mindful care. I hope to help you build resilience, manage emotions and develop strategies that will empower you to overcome challenges.

My approach is systemic and leans on Emotionally Focused and Narrative Therapy. I work with adults, couples and families. I am an ally in the LGBTQ+ community and open to work with people of all genders, cultural backgrounds, abilities, races, and life experiences.

Currently, I am pursuing my Masters Degree at Capella University and studying Marriage and Family Therapy. I have interest in working with women and families facing challenges which include infertility, family planning, postpartum depression, family relationships, and marital stress. I serve clients under the direct clinical supervision of Dr. Adaria Warner, LMFT.

Outside of therapy, I love being in nature. I am often in my garden, enjoying the mountains or near the water. I am a retired professional photographer and have a deep appreciation for art. I was born and raised in New Orleans and enjoy good food and cooking for those I love. My family means everything to me and time with them is simply the best.

I would be honored to work with you. As we partner together the possibilities are endless and I can’t wait to be a part of your personal growth and healing.

What our clients are saying about Mathews Counseling therapists

“Therapy was tough, but in a good way. It challenged both my husband and me to think about how each of us interacts in the marriage.”

“After seeing several counselors elsewhere, this was the first time I felt genuinely heard and understood.”

“My husband was worried about the therapist “taking sides”, which doesn’t happen.  It’s a collaborative conversation and we are delving into other issues that were not readily on the surface.”
