Sharmaine Joyner
When life feels overwhelming—whether due to anxiety, depression, or the weight of grief—it’s easy to feel stuck or unsure of where to begin. Perhaps you’re navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, or struggling to find balance and fulfillment. These feelings can be isolating, but you don’t have to face them alone.
Hi, I’m Sharmaine Joyner, a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA), and I’m passionate about helping individuals, couples, teens, and young adults discover their strengths and create meaningful change in their lives. My approach to therapy is collaborative and person-centered, focusing on building a safe and supportive space where you feel heard and empowered. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strength-based techniques, and evidence-based practices tailored to your unique needs. Together, we will navigate challenges, uncover insights, and work toward the life you envision for yourself.
With over a decade of experience working with diverse populations in settings such as hospitals, schools, and community organizations, I have supported clients in overcoming trauma, building resilience, and achieving personal growth. I hold a Master of Social Work degree from Walden University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Fayetteville State University. My work is grounded in empathy and a commitment to fostering healing and connection.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy exploring new experiences such as traveling and trying new cuisines, spending quality time with my loved ones, and pursuing personal growth. These passions shape how I connect with clients and inspire my belief that every individual has the capacity for change and growth.
If you’re ready to take the next step toward healing and growth, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
