Natasha White

When the relationship you have with your teenager starts to become difficult or you see them struggling, it can be easy to feel stuck. You try everything you can to change things but ultimately leave you feeling like nothing you try will work.

Hi. My name is Natasha White, and I am a therapist intern here at Mathews Counseling.

Throughout our childhood, family ties and the relationships we hold close, or at a distance to us, leave lasting impressions. This foundation shapes who we become as adults. With this belief, I hope to increase positive moments shared between parents and adolescents or teens so that they may carry them into adulthood.

My experience and understanding comes from working for several years with parents and adolescents as a consultant in community-based enrichment programs such as library story time and craft events.

I have earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology with a focus on family from the University of Colorado Denver. Currently, I am pursuing my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at National University.

I work with diverse groups and backgrounds including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ families and individuals. I hope to collaborate with different families and learn about traditions and core memories in order to help them to better understand one another and build stronger emotional bonds.

A little about myself, I grew up as a US Air Force child and had the privilege of visiting different countries and seeing many parts of the world. In my spare time I enjoy gaming, reading, and playing D&D.

I’m currently taking new clients for both in-person and Telehealth appointments. I’m practicing as a clinical intern under the supervision of Dr. Adaria Warner, LMFT.

If I seem like a good fit for you, give our office a call at 919-587-8018 or request an appointment with me online at

What our clients are saying about Mathews Counseling therapists

“Therapy was tough, but in a good way. It challenged both my husband and me to think about how each of us interacts in the marriage.”

“After seeing several counselors elsewhere, this was the first time I felt genuinely heard and understood.”

“My husband was worried about the therapist “taking sides”, which doesn’t happen.  It’s a collaborative conversation and we are delving into other issues that were not readily on the surface.”
