Latiana Appleberry
Do you ever feel like you’ve been strong for so long that you don’t even know who you are outside of survival? Or find yourself stuck in the same patterns even though you know you deserve something different?
Hi, I am Latiana Appleberry. I am a licensed mental health professional and trauma-informed therapist who specializes in supporting adolescents and adults on their healing journey. I work with individuals who have experienced complex trauma, including sexual abuse and human trafficking, as well as those navigating anxiety, depression, attachment challenges, and life transitions.
My approach to therapy is warm, grounded, and deeply relational. I integrate trauma-informed care with inner work, shadow work, and IFS-informed practices to help clients explore the different parts of themselves, understand patterns shaped by past experiences, and reconnect with their core identity. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe to explore, reflect, and grow at your own pace.
I am especially passionate about working with individuals who feel stuck in cycles, disconnected from themselves, or ready to move from simply surviving to actively healing and growing. My work focuses on going beyond surface-level coping to deeper healing—supporting you in building self-awareness, emotional regulation, and a more compassionate relationship with yourself. I aim to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can process your experiences, reclaim your voice, and begin to rewrite your story.
I received my master’s degree from Boston College, and my professional background includes both clinical mental health work and community-based advocacy. In addition to my clinical role, I am the Founder of Survivor Network North Carolina, where I lead survivor-centered initiatives focused on peer support, leadership development, and advocacy. This work continues to shape and inform how I show up as a therapist.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy moments of stillness, creative expression, and finding simple ways to stay grounded in everyday life. I value balance, authenticity, and creating spaces—both in and outside of therapy—where people feel seen, supported, and empowered.
I believe that healing is not just about addressing past trauma, but about doing the deeper inner work necessary to feel whole, aligned, and empowered in your life.
If this resonates with you, I’d be honored to walk with you on your healing journey.
