Jenna Najjar
Now more than ever, we face loneliness, isolation, and confusion during these uncertain times.
Therapy should be based on creating a safe and trusting relationship where you can explore and be your most authentic self.
It is my philosophy that we all need a strong and supportive community to thrive. My goal is to work in collaboration, utilizing exploration, curiosity, and self-discovery. We work together on igniting the resiliency you already possess.
Hi. My name is Jenna Najjar. I am a therapist here at Mathews Counseling. I am passionate about providing a safe space for young adults, individuals, and families as we work towards finding more harmony in your relationships and a genuine connection with yourself.
By utilizing and enhancing the resources you already possess to break patterns no longer serving you, I seek to empower you and your family with unique tools while building a safe and trusting relationship. For young adults, the change associated with transitions and life challenges can be overwhelming. Together we work to clarify your personalized goals and then build the skills you need to get there.
I work with youth, teenagers, families, and individuals of all ages, genders, and orientations. It is my goal to create an inclusive space that celebrates diversity. I have experience working with clients from a wide range of cultures and socio-economic backgrounds.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate. I earned a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. I completed my graduate practice work at The Oasis Center in Nashville TN, serving youth and families as part of the Community Counseling Program. I have experience working with LGBTQ youth, families, and individuals. I bring over 6 years of training and experience based on a trauma-informed care and positive youth development model founded on a feminist approach to therapy.
I grew up in New Jersey and moved to North Carolina after living in Nashville for several years.
In my free time, I love being outside, hiking and biking with my friends, and taking a trip to the beach. I enjoy experimenting with new recipes and reading memoirs.
I have been practicing yoga for over ten years and believe in a holistic approach to wellness and self-care.
I consider it to be an honor to work with you and your family on your journey and look forward to hearing your story.
Currently, I offer morning, afternoon, and evening appointments Monday through Thursday. I also offer Multi-Session Packages. Call Mathews Counseling today at (919) 587-8018 or book an appointment online.
