When anxiety, stress, or overwhelm takes over your thoughts and emotions, it can feel impossible to slow down or feel like yourself again. You may be trying to be “strong” for everyone else, or watching your child struggle and feeling unsure how to help. It can feel isolating, exhausting, and frustrating—like no one truly understands what you’re going through.
But you don’t have to manage it alone, and you deserve support to feel calmer, more grounded, and able to connect with yourself and those you care about.
Hi, my name is Grace He. I am a therapist with Mathew Counseling, passionate about helping adults, children, and teens navigate anxiety, stress, and big emotions so they can live with more confidence, balance, and clarity.
I see therapy as a collaborative and compassionate space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts, feelings, and patterns without judgment. Together, we work to understand what’s driving stress or emotional overwhelm, develop practical coping strategies, and build insight. I aim to create a relationship that feels grounded in trust, understanding, and respect, so clients feel heard and empowered throughout the process.
I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck, as well as children and adolescents navigating anxiety, stress, or emotional challenges. Success in therapy looks like feeling more grounded, confident, and capable of managing emotions and stress. It means adults and teens alike are able to better understand themselves, communicate more effectively, and feel more connected to their values, relationships, and daily lives.
I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University and bring experience from my years of working with children, parents, and adults navigating high levels of responsibility and stress.
When I’m not counseling, you can often find me engaged in community service or spending time with my grandchildren and foster grandchildren.
I would be honored to walk alongside you or your child as you take the next step toward feeling more supported, grounded, and hopeful.
Grace is meeting with clients, offering both in-person and telehealth appointments.
