Amber Diamond Green

Hi! My name is Amber Diamond Green and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor.

Sometimes, real superheroes live in the hearts of small children fighting big battles. Being a child or teen in today’s world can be both scary and difficult. Peer pressure, family and home issues and the struggle to find identity can overload every thought, taking every ounce of energy they have. My goal as a professional counselor is to help your child and family find a place of peace and self-worth through hands-on activities and real-life strategies.

Utilizing a holistic approach, I strive to help your family seek joy, in spite of struggle, physically, mentally, and socially. As a teacher for nine years in a variety of school settings, I have a strong foundation in behavior modification, informed by my understanding of school structure and regulations. I provide services to children, teens, and families with school, anxiety, depression, separation and divorce, and post- adoption/ foster care related concerns. I also work with young adults who are undergoing life transitions and new moms who are dealing with postpartum related concerns.

I have a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montreat College. I have previously taught elementary and middle school in Illinois and North Carolina in public, private, and charter schools.

When I am not counseling, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family as well as my two adorable dogs.

What our clients are saying about Amber

“So far we have felt like Amber has heard our concerns and helped us address them. She takes time to listen. Engages our son in activities. [We know therapy is working] when our son says “Remember Ms. Ambers says . . . “”

“I am so grateful for Amber and wish we’d met outside of counseling so we could be friends IRL.”

“Amber listens and engages uniquely with each of my kids to earn their trust.”
